In the morning of yesterday, Qingdao International Engineering Development Alliance was established officially, which will further impel Qingdao engineering construction enterprises to participate in construction of “the Belt and Road”, achieve resources sharing among enterprises in Qingdao and promote the whole level of Qingdao construction industry in the aspects of market development and project matching through “go out” strategy.

From the Qingdao Municipal Commission of Urban-Rural Development, the journalist learned that more than 40 engineering construction enterprises acquired management qualification for contract projects abroad among the 54 enterprises implementing “Go out” strategy in Qingdao. According to statistics, the business volume relating to contract projects abroad of Qingdao City ranked the second behind Shenzhen in the sub-provincial cities of the whole nation in 2015 and the Qingdao engineering construction enterprises increased the strength of implementing “Go out” strategy year by year. Meanwhile, Qingdao engineering construction enterprises covers various and complete professional categories, not only covering the whole course of engineering construction, including exploration, design, supervision, construction and cost consultation etc., but also covering construction, road, railway, port, water conservancy and hydropower, municipal utility, petroleum, mechanical and electrical installation, electric power engineering and other industries. However, proportion of the business volume of contract projects abroad is relatively low and there is still great potential in foreign market development.
In order to support “Go out” strategy of Qingdao engineering construction enterprises further and develop overseas engineering markets, on the premise of using successful experience of the leading cities in the same industry in our nation for reference, Qingdao Municipal Commission of Urban-Rural Development researches and drafts Implementation Opinions on Supporting Engineering Construction Enterprises to Participate in Construction of “the Belt and Road”, the aims of which are to support more enterprises to “go out”, speed up build new pattern of contract abroad, strongly impel Qingdao engineering construction enterprises to “go out” in multiform, multichannel and multidirectional ways and comprehensively improve international contracting level of engineering construction of Qingdao.
Under this background, foundation of Qingdao International Engineering Development Alliance has an important significance and effect on impelling enterprises in Qingdao to “go out” to develop “the Belt and Road” markets, achieve joint development and association between strong enterprises and carry out international engineering cooperation.
Lead Many Enterprises to “Go out”
Qingdao International Engineering Development Alliance is a non-profit organization, which is proposed and directed by Qingdao Municipal Commission of Urban-Rural Development and launched by many construction enterprises including CNQC, Zhongqi Jiaojian Group Co., Ltd., General Construction Company of Laixi and Qingdao Geotechnical Investigation and Surveying Research Institute and so on.
This Alliance takes “the Belt and Road” as the main line, strongly impels Qingdao engineering construction enterprises to “go out” in multiform, multichannel and multidirectional ways through enterprise resource sharing, complement of each other’s advantages and mutual benefit and win-win, and makes contributions to building a new pattern for contracting overseas and promoting the international contracting level of Qingdao engineering construction industry. The Alliance’s developmental aims are to center on “the Belt and Road” development strategy, regard demands as key point, services as center, projects as linkage, finance as guarantee to drive enterprises to develop international engineering markets and endeavor to lead three enterprises in one year and ten enterprises in three years to be engaged in new markets and new business fields; meanwhile, the Alliance will spare no efforts to recruit 80 members in three years so as to build an international development alliance characterized by perfect mechanism, reasonable structure, democracy and science and normative service, and impel the harmonious development of the Qingdao International engineering industry in a pragmatic way.
